Get Started With A Star Citizen Free Fly

A Star Citizen Free Fly allows all players play the game for no cost as long as they have a free Star Citizen account. Each Star Citizen Free Fly is a limited time event, and a Star Citizen Free Fly typically happens 4-5 times throughout the year.

The Star Citizen Free Fly starts on 22 November 2024 at 1600 UTC (11 AM Eastern, 8 AM Pacific in the US) and continues until 5 December 2024 at 2000 UTC (3 PM Eastern, Noon Pacific in the US) as part of the annual Intergalactic Aerospace Expo -  IAE - event. 

Here are the steps you need to take to access the Star Citizen Free Fly during IAE 2954:

1. Set up a Star Citizen account if you don't already have one.
2. Download and install Star Citizen or update your previous Star Citizen installation with the RSI Launcher.
3. Play the Star Citizen Free Fly during IAE 2954!

All players, even those without a starter pack, will be given a Drake Cutter for the entire Star Citizen Free Fly so that you can fly to the in-game event in New Babbage, as announced on a developer post. 

In addition to the provided Drake Cutter, players will be able to test fly different ships during each manufacturer showcase, including the new Anvil Terrapin Medic, Anvil Hornet Tracker MkII and Hornet Ghost MkII, Crusader Intrepid, MISC Starlancer MAX, and RSI Polaris, for FREE.

Don’t worry if you miss one of the manufacturers during IAE! All 150+ ships featured during IAE will be available to rent from the Traveler terminals in the Tobin Expo Center in New Babbage during the IAE Best In Show day and Finale on 1-5 December 2024.
