A Star Citizen Free Fly is currently not available. The next Star Citizen Free Fly has not been officially announced yet. However, there will likely be a Star Citizen Free Fly in February or March 2025, and the next predictable Star Citizen Free Fly will occur in May 2025 with the annual Invictus Launch Week event.
If you want to play before the next Star Citizen Free Fly, then consider purchasing a starter pack with limited-time discounts! From now until 6 January 2025, there are special starter pack deals for the Aurora MR, Cutter, the 100i, the new Crusader Intrepid, the Avenger Titan (our recommended starter ship), and the Nomad. The Aurora MR is the cheapest possible starter pack, the Crusader Intrepid is a rare starter pack that comes with Lifetime Insurance for the ship, and the Cutter, 100i, Avenger Titan, and Nomad starter packs all include extended insurance, additional game credits, and Luminalia-themed ship paints.

You do not need a starter pack or starter ship to play during a Star Citizen Free Fly because a selection of ships are loaned for free to all players to fly during each Star Citizen Free Fly.
What happens when a Star Citizen Free Fly ends?
When the Star Citizen Free Fly ends, you will not be able to continue to play the game unless you own a starting package. Any progress that you make during the Star Citizen Free Fly will be saved until a wipe is performed.
Can I play during the Star Citizen Free Fly if I already played in a previous one?
Yes! You can participate in as many Star Citizen Free Fly events as you like without ever needing to purchase a Star Citizen starter pack.
